Recuerdan mi primera entrada de estas mariposas con alas de cristal, como me quedé con la duda, estuve investigando acerca de estas mariposas. Su nombre científico es Greta oto, es originaria de América Central y México. Esta mariposa pone sus huevecillos en una planta llamada Cestrum, cuando sale la oruga se alimenta de esta planta que es tóxica (pero a la oruga no le afecta). En su cuerpo guarda las toxinas desde que es oruga, hasta que se convierte en mariposa y le sirven como defensa hacia sus depredadores. La razón por la que tiene sus alas transparentes, creo que es, otro mecanismo de defensa para que sus enemigos naturales no las vean ¿será lo más próximo a la invisibilidad natural? Es interesante en Venezuela en el estado Lara específicamente en Cubiro una zona fría y turística de aca, estaba yo de paseo y vi esta mariposa me pareció curiosa y extraña dije que investigaría y nunca lo hice ahora veo por la casualidad la imagen y me metí a la pagina a ver que decía…. que bueno saber algo de ella aunque si es del sitio que nombras es extraño verla por aca en Venezuela….
